4"-5" Myrtle

If it is really Myrtlewood, then it would be rare and expensive:

Given the small size, and that it's from FL, not OR, I suspect the latter.

It still might be worth trying, but my project plate is full right now.

I've never turned myrtle (crepe?), but let me know soon if you're interested. Here's a text she sent me:


I just looked up Myrtle and it says it's rare hard Wood even though it's could only be used for pens, handles, candlesticks, piecing cutting boards and jewelry.. veneer... Since the ones I have are 4-5 in in diameter Max.


If someone interested I would want them to write a check to a charity and we could talk the price later if someone's interested since it is rare and hard...
