The wood is from a swamp near Lakeland Florida. I think it is Oak. The lid is Cherry, the knob is Popular, and the finish is Bee's Wax and Mineral Oil. There was a nail hole in the base that I plugged with a dowel before turning. Made by Paul McDaniel, Feb 2025
