Does anyone have any input on branding irons used to use to mark your pieces? Electric vs heat with a torch? Which works best to produce the best image? Thanks for any input.
I've used a heat with torch type. I found it difficult to recognize when it was hot enough without being too hot. I may try an electric. Also, flat branding iron doesn't work well on curved surface.
I have an electric one I had custom made. It has a range of heat settings. It takes a bit of time (90 seconds or so) to heat up, but it is nice to have repeatability.
Scott, would you mind sharing the details of the one you had made. I’m interested in a similar solution.
