I have an Australian made WoodFast M910 Lathe (later ones were bought out by another company and made a bit cheaper). It has a 20.5" swing, and just over 36" available length. You can see pictures of it here: https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/1440439817932567.
This one was converted to 12V (still 220V AC input, obviously) and a variable speed control installed. It can turn extremely slowly (about 5RPM) up to a pretty high speed. It also has 4 belt speeds, so if you need a lot of torque for a large job it will easily do it . . . even though it is really powerful even on the fastest setting. It also has a reversing switch with a heavy resistor to keep from damaging the motor if you were silly enough to change directions while it is running. You can see in the picture and video how well the ways have been maintained.
I bought this about 6 years ago in a package deal when I bought someone's entire shop when he reached a point that he couldn't turn anymore. He literally only used it for finishing work, to turn really slowly when oiling pieces so the oil wouldn't pool in one place. I figured I would do the same and occasionally use it as a third lathe, but in the past 6 years I think that I've used it roughly twice. It is time to sell it and reclaim the space, as I really don't need 3 lathes at this point.
It has had finishes spilled on it over the years so it isn't quite as pretty, but I doubt you'll find a more under-used lathe for its age anywhere.
It not only has the internal index wheel that WoodFast has built in, but an external one was added for when you need more positions.
If someone in the club wants it, I could deliver it to you in the Melbourne area on a meeting day since I'll already be down there.
